I'm getting the 255 bug pretty bad...I'm thinking about selling my current 265/75r16 Cooper ST Maxx tires (all 5) for $800. They are in between 14/32nd and 15/32nd tread depth on all 5, and have had a 5 tire rotation every 3,750 miles. They have 11,000 miles on them. They are in very good condition and have worn perfectly. They were $1,400 new with insurance at Discount Tire. I have all receipts from purchase and rotations. If anyone is interested and in the Denver, CO area I will be more than happy to meet up and let you take a look at the tires.

I had 255 km2s and am convinced it's the best sized tire for the fronty. I miss the extra ground clearance. I'm thinking the st maxx would be perfect. Wish I had gotten them instead of the at3s.

They are an incredible all around tire. I too just want a little more clearance.

Here they are. 255/85r16 Cooper ST Maxx. Truck sits at 10 1/4" under the rear differential now and 10 1/2" under the engine skid. Another benefit is obviously how great they look!!

Red.

Whenever I see your truck I want to delete my factory roof rack. Seeing how you are utilizing the sides on your US rack I'm seeing less of a use for a rack over the cab. Messing around with some ideas on mounting stuff to the US rack I discovered that yakima snap around mounts set up for square bar compatibility grab the US rack's legs perfectly. Seems like a good way to experiment with mounting stuff without committing to drilling holes in the rack.

That looks great Bijan! I'll bet those gained you some height in a hurry. I'm at 11 3/4" under the front, 10 1/4" under the back. Geez mine is tall... Notice any impact on mileage or driveability yet? Feel much different?

I'll throw a vote in for the black diff cover. Red is a bit loud for your current design scheme.

Glad to see you kept the ST Maxxs. I too think they are a fantastic tire. I am interested to see how the 255s work with the gear ratio you have ( I,m guessing it is the stock ratio)

Yes. 3.69 stock. Since the tire measures short for a 255/85 (32.8") I should have only lost about 3.5% or so. I can tell a slight difference taking off. I have to release the clutch slightly more and speed has definitely increased when in first gear and all the way off the clutch. I can also feel a slight difference braking. I think going any taller wouldn't be worth it.

Is yours a 6MT?
