I'm sure they will work similar to the GY MTs they are molded from. I guess the difference would be the carcas you have. I notice yours are on BFG ATs, which a few tire shops have started to complain about due to difficulty in getting a good balance. Interesting that yours balanced nicely. I wonder if treadwrights treading process is making hem balance easily?

Mine had little patches gluespd on inside the tire and treadwright says they pre malance the tires so I think that's what it is and all my wheels balanced easy and all the weights went oposit the tpms sensors so I'm guessing to off set the weight of the sensor

Of all the tires I have had balanced that were bigger than a 31 these balanced with the least amount of weight and in the first try

Great build you have going here! I'm in the planning stages for building up my 2008 Silverado 1500 crew cab 4wd. I'm interested to know more about how you built your bumper. What kind of steel did you use? I saw you used 3/16" plate...what type of steel in specific? Also did you use a plasma to cut the plates? Did you use cardboard to make a template first?

Thanks! Not sure what grade steel I used but it's 3/16 for the main bumper and the winch plate and mounts for the winch are all 1/4" , well I used foam board for the templates because I had it at work and it's a little more ridged and easer to cut, and yes I used a plasma to cut all the plates

Let me know if I can help answer anything I'll at least try

I cut in the holes for the lights and welded the tubes in and mounted the 125mm Round led Flood lights I got from DDM tuning

The fenders look great! My rears are already flared but I'm looking to swap the fronts out on my Silverado for fiberglass to get the tires covered up a bit more. Nice looking bumper, too.

Thanks I'm going to try and start on the rear bumper this weekend here is a pic of one that I'm going to try and make mine look kind of like

That's a gnarly Colorado! How are the LED floods working out?

I love them they are not to bright that I can't use them in traffic so that great but they cast a dim blueish white light on everything in front ,to the sides and to the tops of the trees they will make for great slower night crawling/ wheeling I used them last night for the last 2 miles of my drive home as my only lights going about 55mph and could see just fine I think I'm going to order a set of the spots and put them on top of the roller fairlead

Thanks I'm really liking the fenders not only do they give the truck a whole new attitude but they cover the tires better and give me more room to flex the tires out , when I put the bumper and winch on the front dropped almost a full inch and I am still clearing the 35s no problem and there are other colorados with more lift having trouble with 33s guess it payed for me to do a lot of measuring to get the offset as close to what I wanted instead of just taking what looks cool and hoping they fit like so many people do

Wonderful project -- thanks for sharing with us.

Given the money people pay to shoehorn a V8 into a Wrangler, I often wondered about a project that starts with midsize truck or SUV (H3, for example) that already has a V8. The money would then be spent on lift, tires, suspension and lockers. And now you're doing it! Thanks.
