2011 Wrangler Details

yeah looks like crap.. I can understand that the out of place leather wrapper steering wheel is probably a sahara trim type of thing, but that instrument cluster window is just all kinds of wrong.

What is wrong with Chrysler? Last I know... the interior styling of the Wrangler wasn't the worst thing in their line up..

Ask how the Defender guys feel about the 09' facelift. :Wow1: its ugly

It could be worst. I do prefer the TJ hands down interior wise.

Just here...
Well, the largest market for Wranglers are people who will never take it through anything rougher than a pot holed street. I think it looks pretty nice which is what they are going for. You cant put super nice materials in a Wrangler where they will be exposed to the elements all the time. Notice how its in the the Sahara edition too? I bet it wont be the same scheme of colors in the base or the Rubicon edition.

I dont see the big deal. People take fully loaded 80 series LCs and LLCs Defenders, discos and loaded Saharas out in the dirt to. Just the majority dont so they design them for what will move vehicles and stay profitable. I dont really care what they update on the inside as long as they keep the solid axle suspension that lets the Wrangler shine.

Oh and I have a leather wrapped steering wheel. I dont get it but its hardly a deal breaker.

still no joy:(

Looks like front leg room still sucks! I drove4 a 90 wrangler for 13 years - still miss it. Haven't had one since - not d/t lack of desire, but to simply not fitting!!! There is nothing in their lineup for us 6'5" guys.

AHhhhhHHHHHHHGGGGGGHHHH!
The doors were fine the way they were... in fact, the interior was fine the way it was. Give us better quality materials... not different looking materials. Leather, wood, steel, aluminum ... all good. Plastic... not so good. More Plastic... very not so good.

:sombrero: My '08 JKU Rubi has a relatively simple interior and I have no trouble with the driving room available-

I'm 6'4"++ and I have a 5-pt harness bar behind the seat, I've adjusted the seat and have the back against the bar and I'm comfy

Now I have an auto, could be why, I wouldn't have a stick again !

I think it suits the vehicle's target market. It isn't to my taste but neither is the fact that a transfer case and front drive axle are options on a Wrangler. It still remains about the most attractive offering available in North America for all it's faults and missed marks (by our collective standard).

My biggest complant about the old door panels was the faux diamond plating at the bottom. More than once I have hit an edge of that with my knee, enough to draw blood. I like the door panel redesign.

I liked seeing the exterior color on the inside of the doors. Overall the new design doesn't look fun to clean dust and dirt off of. I'll definitly be sticking to my 07.

If Chrysler or AMC, or Kaiser, would have been listening to us Jeepers, we still would be driving around in CJ3a. We never, ever, ever like a change. I remember all the screaming and hollering when the JK came out with power windows, yikes, and that the 4 doors will be the end of the Wrangler - or the TJ, with it's plastic interior and coil springs (what did the world come to that Jeep put away with leaf springs) - or the YJ with square headlights (OK, I admit, that was wrong ). I will have to actually see a '11 Wrangler until I make a decision if I like it or not.

I had a JK auto for one day in Kona,Hi. Our Trailblazer wasn't in yet. The women in the party wanted the SUV and the rental company wanted the Jeep back. For one day though,I enjoyed the heck out of that sucker. Plenty of legroom for my 6'4" body, but my head did brush against the rollbar. I like the color matched roof, but the interior will have to grow on me. As posted prior, keep that solid front axle.
