The rumor mill says the 2011 Wrangler will be introduced this Summer. The expected change is under the hood: a new 3.6L V6 with 280 hp and 260 lb.-ft. of torque. That's 38% more hp and 10% more torque than the current Wrangler V6.
Lots of small changes are coming, too, in response to owner feedback. No diesel engine for USA, though.
The new V6 will also be used in the all-new Grand Cherokee. Eventually, the 3.6L V6 will sprout all sorts of variations, including turbo versions.
