I'd like something like these to replace my OEM fog lights

How did you end up wiring these?

I ended going independent on these. Ran to power and set up a switch in the cab by my dash light controls. That way I can have them on all the time if I want or not at all, full control.

I do know them make the dog light kits for these too. I have seen a comparison of each, one using the factory fog harness and one independently wired. The independently wired ones are brighter. I would imagine it’s the wiring. These draw a lot of power, something factory fogs don’t need to worry about. The BD wiring harness is 10&12 gauge, stock is 18 or 16 usually.

Nice truck! Interested to follow the build I have a 2012 F150 crewcab shortbed with the 5.0 as well, I still need to do my rocker panels and assess the overall rust situation before I start my build

I had a similar problem. Mine were bad. So I cut them out, did a quick patch and then covered them with plastic covers so I didn’t have to worry about painting nice or the misshaped panel I welded in. It’s solid, just not pretty.

After this I sealed them up with grease and then covered with the Raptor Liner.

@docster man you did good by nipping that in the bud before it got out of control. There are a few threads on the Raptor forum about rust in that area and 5 digit repair bills.

Also throw so spray paint on your frame my dude! LOL

I’ve got to do the frame. Just no time. And I don’t worry about. In Michigan it looks like that after 1 winter. Even with 2 car washes a week. Stupid salt.

So glad I left there. I hated seeing the damage those winter months did to cars. Miss the nice areas of course, and I'd love to make a return to the UP... but ugh salt man

Learned something about the 6112s. Have a dirt to asphalt transition near by that’s always in rough shape. Hitting at 25-35mph it’s firm but the 6112 keeps everything in check. Recent decided to try to hit it at 50, smoothed out a lot! These things like speed.

I worked at a Ford dealership back in college during the summer. The dealership had some rather large speed bumps on the access road between the main lot and the storage lot out back. This was back in the late 90s. An brand new Explorer at 30 mph over those bumps was pretty smooth too. Never tried it in my personal car that fast.
