I wish it was mine! I'm strangely drawn to the Forester and I pretty much blame you machine!

It's under serious consideration! Black Bear would be a blast, though being that I'm afraid of heights, slightly terrifying at the same time.

Just scream the entire way down, it'll be stress relieving :).

I would probably have to blindfold my wife on the steps down to Telluride. It's on my list of trails to conquer. There are so many trails in CO that I need to visit...

Well, it looks like it's been a while since I updated this thread.

Took a trip with the wife and baby down to PINS(Padre Island National Seashore) for an afternoon trip.

Now I am just waiting for the waters to recede from all the rain we've had.

In the meantime, I picked up some 16" WRX wheels. Will be going from a 235/60R17 to a 225/70R16.

a Forester for inspiration. :luxhello:

Not the fanciest, but I like to travel to rugged places with it.

Love the comparison of both those pics…At the exact same place, the Forester doesn't lift the RR wheel where the Cherokee does by at least 2" !

This has become a popular spot for us to hang out because it's usually not flooded. I'll try to take more pictures of everything else that goes through here.

I'd love to wheel with you guys. Maybe I'll make a road trop to texas one day haha!

I promise you that if you drive all the way from Nova Scotia to wheel with us we will make the trip memorable.

I was going to comment that some Subaru dude is blocking the trail and making folks go around. LOL
Always amazes me how much travel Subaru seems to put into their suspension. Changing the oil in the two cars my wife and I had for years a 2001 VW jetta and a 2001 Legacy GT Limited side by side oil changing the Legacy sat lower than the VW but nearly maxed out my small floor jack trying to get the front wheels off the ground vs the VW not so much. LOL The GT was a blast on the dirt roads.

Good idea going down a size! That was the best off-road mod that I did other than skid plates. It's amazing what a little more sidewall flex does for traction. Not to mention when you air down it's a lot smoother ride!

Love how it looks with the lift. I've always thought lifted foresters look 'right'. They're just too low from the factory.
