Well that bums me out a little bit... and I haven't even seen a Mopar hood...I must be living under a rock...thanks for the heads up though!!!

Off to the land of GOOGLE to research!

Here's the AEV MOPAR hood. When MOPAR ordered these they got them without the heat reduction cutouts. The hood retails for $1686 and you can get it from Quadratec. My 2013 Jeep MOAB came with this hood, AEV bumpers, the AEV skid plate, and MOPAR rock rails.

The only Mopar hood that I've seen is that one, it's called the "Power Bulge Hood." I've seen a few other hoods with venting for heat reduction though.

Interesting. That MOPAR hood is an AEV.

The "AEV heat reduction hood" is (obviously) made and sold by AEV and has the heat reduction cut outs.

The "Mopar power bulge hood" is the same as above, it just doesn't have the actual cutouts. (It's made by AEV) and is on the COD/MW3/other special ed jeeps.

There is also the 10th anniversary hood, not made by AEV, I'm not sure if it has actual cutouts, or it just looks the part.

Good info. I was aware they were the same hood and curious if they had the cutouts at the bottom.

I believe the cutouts are functional.

The cutouts on the 10th anni are just for looks. they don't acutally open to air. They are just for looks.

From what I saw when I looked at a 10A, this is true. There is one small hole in each piece, which appears to be for water drainage, and not air flow.
