The stock JK lights are downright dangerous on country roads and useless off-road. Complete garbage. I've had JWSpeakers for 3 years and can say they are fantastic. Last year, I added their fogs and they really fill in nicely. Great, sharp LED light, last forever, DOT approved, JKs should come stock like this. Most manufacturers are moving this direction.

What's your experience with them holding up to rocks and cracking the lens?

Wow! it looks good with the bumper and flat ties, almost reminiscent of a willy's. How do you like the fenders? I was thinking on getting a pair for myself, but just the fronts, the rears are too similar to stock to justify that kind of spending right now.

Hey everyone,

I've been super swamped with a few new projects (work) and I have a lot of updates to share with everyone. Check back in the next few days and I hope to get it up.

Matt,
No hurry, but I'd love to chat with you sometime about wheeling in Lockhart basin. Looks fantastic. Have you got a whole photo album of this trip somewhere? Can you...??? :)

Thanks, Ben

I have a photo album but I can't share it. It'll be going in a magazine. ;)

Matt, how do you find the MAXTRAX retention system you have now?

Do you think it'll stand up to long term use/weather/etc? Are they held nice and snug with no movement?

I received a set for my birthday from my wonderful girlfriend, but as my Jeep is pretty well stock with no rack, I have no mounting points.

About 5 years ago we did Lockhart basin. 90% of the trail you will be in 2WD HI. There are a couple of canyons that you need to head, so you end up right under the cliffs and a few rocks may have fallen on the road.
My neighbors son thought that he needed to drive his F350 crew cab long bed 4X4 diesel on the trail.
The only real challenging part of the trip is an about 1 mile long section at the North end. Power steering is your friend here. My CJ3B still has the old Ross box, there was a few times I thought I was going to twist the shaft to the steering, we all made it.
It still takes some time to get back to Moab from there, you might as well check out Chicken Corner while you are in the area.
