Far northern Minnesota. Vehicle OEM's do winter testing in these parts, the winter is stupid long and cold.

Oh I see! Yeah. Based on the promo videos this 4x4 might be the ticket.

Last I heard was orders this year, delivery in Spring. You might check the Sprinter Source forum periodically to get the latest.
Sure seems like it's a go this time.

Stopped in a Sprinter dealer last week, They're looking at a September arrival for their 4x4 Sprinters. Not sure if this is for that specific dealer or all US dealers. Price wise, I've heard $6500 for 4x4 and an additional $300 for a crawler gear.

Yep, it finally happened. You can--and have been able to for a few months--place an order with a Mercedes or Freightliner dealer that sells Sprinters, and it'll show up in 4-6 months. There's some talk about limited supply, with Mercedes not being able to get all of the components they need from suppliers, so there could be some delays. If you care, check the Sprinter Source forum to get any and all information, generally updated as soon as it's available.
4x4 pricing also needs to take into account $985 for the upgrade to the V-6 engine from the four-banger. The bigger engine is mandatory with the 4x4 system.
