Super easy install. Very well designed, and I love the look of it. The filter is huge, and my prefilter is on the way.

Another little mod done. These things are amazing fir driving lots of dirt roads, wash boards, or just driving a 1 ton truck when it’s unloaded...

We’ll, got the truck regeared to 4.30 with Nitro gears at Wanderlust Overland in Oregon City, OR. Doing my break-in now.
Truck is a lot more peppy on the highway and much better rpm range when hauling my camper.
Also got some new Costco Interstate batteries, mine were from the factory, so it was time for a change.

Nrxt up, brake pads. Any recommendations? Mine are super dusty. It’s annoying. I had powerstop in the past, someone also recommended GreenStuff pads to me. Thoughts?

After
Some SDHQ A-Pilar mounts and Baja Design Squadron Pros I bought off another member.
I might change the lenses to a flood pattern, but the job is done. Right in time for 5 days in SE Oregon with the family. Cheers all

Nice, is there any wind noise?

Not that I noticed. I mean, between the camper noises, and the Diesel engine, I don’t think I could even tell. Once I drive the truck more unloaded, if I notice anything, I’ll report back. So far I love them.

Awesome trip in the books. Truck did great, and so did the camper. Ended up doing just short of 1000 miles with almost no interstate travel. All state, county highways, backroads, and dirt.

How many miles on thr Coopers and what are your thoughts on them long term?

I’ve owned two sets. I’ve got about 7000 miles in this set. I had about 20,000 on my old 1999 2500 diesel.

I really like them. Quiet, nice looking, great grip… I’ve had them in snow, mud, sand, and obviously rain, we live in Oregon. No real complaints. The only minor one would be that, the tires like to hold into rocks, but my BFG’s did that too.
For me it was between these and the new Toyo AT3, Toyos were minimum 8 weeks out at the time of purchase and more expensive. So I stayed with Cooper.

I would definitely recommend them.

One of the complaints I heard is how loud they get quickly, and that they were hard to balance. What did you see?

I haven’t noticed that. Mine are on after market wheels, but they didn’t have a problem balancing them. They had to rebalance one on my last rotation, but I didn’t think that was a huge deal.
As far as Linus, they seem pretty quiet to me. But they are also competing with the 6.7 diesel fir who makes more noise.

Thanks for the prompt feedback. Looking for a new set of tires for my FZJ80 and am intrigued by the Coopers but tires are a lot of money haha. I could easily go with the BFG ATs because I know what I am getting but wanted to try something new. It's hard to make the jump. Thanks again.

No worries! Good luck! I loved my BFG’s but I was in the same boat, and the Coopers have been way better for towing and hauling than the KO2’s. My current ones are rated over 4200 lbs a tire
