Assuming this is the original "Adrift" camper with your own truck? Here is the build thread: https://expeditionportal.com/forum/...-camper-build-adrift-motorhome.141578/page-25. Always LOVED the solid roof pop up design they came up with. Looks like you've really improved it and put it on a pretty rad base truck. GLWTS. Great rig.
Thanks for the kind words on the design and built. The F550 had already been designed. Additions were made to improve reliability, comfort, and experience.

Out of curiosity are you sure this is 11k watt hours? Thats 916Ah (you state 800ah), why did you install that big of a battery bank when you aren't running AC systems, and just using 12v appliances that draw low amps aside from the induction cooker?

This is the formula to check if its not actually 11k: Ah = Wh / V

Voltage off the Victron batteries is 13.5V (+/-). I can run 4 induction cooktops, electric BBQ, microwave, computer + large monitor, blender, etc ... I also have a water heater (Isoterm) that can supplement the Espar D5 to heat water much faster.
When you travel up North during winter (when sun might not recharge the batteries daily), you can be more autonomous :)

Seems like a better value than a lot of rigs of this caliber! Can you tell us more about the electric bbq? That piqued my interest.

Thanks for noticing how "fully loaded" this overlander is :)

Electric BBQ is from Kenyon, located in the outdoor pull-out kitchen. You also have the following outdoor: 2x Induction cooktop, counter space, sink, running water, 120V plug :)

Silly question but what fuel mileage do you see on this beast? It really is a remarkable design but is there a way to screen the large opening around the bed?

Thanks,

Bill

On average I get 8.7 miles/gallon. When driving freeway, I get 9.4 miles/gallon.
I made a "bug screen" that is velcroed over the front opening. (image shown over the door opening) :)

Link to an independent review by Jack Mac (05/05/2022): https://expeditionportal.com/overland-classifieds-2016-ford-f-550-custom-overlander/

Quote "Luxury overland vehicles have become increasingly popular during the pandemic as more people travel closer to home. Subsequently, this has led to long wait times for new builds and inflated prices for used examples. EarthRoamer is arguably the pioneer of this sector, producing vehicles well in excess of $1,000,000 (check out their $1,900,000 HD model for reference). The company’s LTI model, priced between $750,000 to $800,000, is arguably their most iconic vehicle, and is based on Ford’s legendary F-550. EarthRoamers are undeniably epic, but at almost a million dollars, they’re also very exclusive and inaccessible to the vast majority. However, fear not because today’s custom one-off luxury overlander is also based on the F-550, incorporates many similar premium features and modifications, yet is a third of the price, at $238,000."

Is the 72gallon fuel tank custom or manufactured by titan or another company? I have not seen a gasoline tank that large on the market.

Two tanks. (Ford built-in: 40 gallons, 2nd tank: 32 gallons). 2nd tank refills the first tank, starting the fuel pump from a timer.
I wrote a full owner's manual which includes: details on parts, how to operate, troubleshooting tips, etc ... The two tanks' description is part of it.
