2016 Spring Utah Dates

Ok, I know its a heck of a long ways off and we are still planning Thanksgiving. But for those that need to plan long term for work 3/26-4/2 is when my Kid is out of school, so would like to try and plan Utah for then.

Did you check the Easter Safari dates before posting? Reason being they reserve a lot of trails for the safari.

Lloyd is usually on that stuff pretty well. So Lloyd did you plan for that? I don't want to go if I have to be around a bunch of Jeeps. :elkgrin:

Looks like it ends the 27th. I really did not think about it since I usually dont run the same trails. They no longer go to Hole-N-The-Rock, I think its just too big a logistics issue for an over nighter. Depending on the trails we decide on, we could do a backwards trip, starting at Hole-N-The-Rock and going north to avoid the last 2 days of Fiasco.

Saturday: Meet end of day at Old Hole-N-The-Rock entrance Creek area
Sunday: Drive to End and Camp
Monday: Drive to Lake Powell and Camp(swim and shower)
Tuesday: Drive to Arch Canyon and Camp
Wednesday: Drive Through Needles to Lavender and Camp
Thursday: Lavender through Lockhart, camp on river again?
Friday: Moab trails --- Poison and Spike?
Saturday: Moab trails --- Pritchetts and Behind Rocks?
Sunday: Return home

Or if more Moab is desired drive up from Arch and add trails Weds and Thurs.........Or sub out an adventure to Dark and Moki canyons Tuesday.....Utah is tough, 50,000 miles of trails is a big selection.

I am going to refine these dates to 3/25-4/1. Main reason is I am going to drive to Phoenix for 4/1-4/3 to do a Franchise show now. Who's going to feed me? )

Monday would be a good early bail. Thinking of dropping the Titan in Mexican Hat, then picking it up and driving straight to Phoenix with you guys, as long as Esther can handle driving the crazy trail rig.

I will have to play it by ear, with our baby coming in January I may not have enough leave saved up by March and my wife may still be tired and sore, we would otherwise go down in May for sure.

Are these dates pretty much locked down. I'm thinking about doing this. Will be more confirmed after the new year, but I'm gonna try and make this.
