2020 Ford Transit AWD- SOLD!
Another fresh Pinnacle Campers build this time utilizing the rare 2020 Ford Transit with AWD.
This was intended to be our demo van but with all of the shows cancelled for the '20 season this van hasn't seen the use it would have otherwise.
We have more vans on the way so its time to find this one a new home.
The van:
2020 Ford Transit 148" WB, Mid Roof, Magnetic Metallic, (MSRP $49,795)
Ecoboost 3.5L twin turbo with 10 speed auto, AWD, and 3.73 ratio with rear limited slip differential
Leather, power, heated, driver and passenger seats, extended range fuel tank, (see pic of window sticker for full details).
Interior conversion:
We call it the 4 seater/ 3.5 sleeper. The 2nd row forward facing seat (with seat belts) has the ability to convert to a bed (34" wide), or a rear facing dinette seat which allows for amazing versatility.
The master bed sleeps east/west and is 58"x 75" with "sprung slat" style panels which not only allows the 5" mattress to breathe but adds some cushion like a box spring mattress.
The galley is set up to be utilized from inside or out. With the exterior drop down table open there is access to the shelves and the stove inside. The stove is also accessible from a cabinet inside the van. This build utilizes a portable propane stove so it can be set up inside, outside or away from the van.
Fridge and drawers can be accessed from inside or out the slider door.
Heated leather seats, all wheel drive, and the onboard heater are welcome additions for days (and nights) off piste'.
Ample storage in the wheel well cubbies, and a 5' full extension drawer under the bed for gear. There is also open storage under the 2nd row seat, and the bench seat box behind it (currently with porta-potty that can be used "in the box")
Van Compass lift and shocks were added to increase ground clearance and smooth out the ride. A T150 was chosen with blue springs for a compliance off the road, the van weighs 7800lbs fully loaded, fuel, water, two bikes, two SUP boards, food and drinks for two. The van isn't near the GVW of 8670lbs.
