How is it looking so far in term of lifting/larger tires? I am sure you are starting to have some ideas...

:)

So far so good, working thru the little problems as they pop up! Steering solution will be solved tomorrow, right now I'm dealing with the front driveshaft. it's a whopping 10" long so we don't have much to work with when it comes to the angle..... Dropping a full 3.5" like the rest of the lift may not work. Plan to have it sitting on 33s tomorrow.

Yeah, same axle for dually and single?....but isn't/are there hub extenders on the rear?
Whats the bolt pattern on the rotor/hub?
Maybe we can pull them all off and use more readily available, traditional offset wheels?

The rear has a massive hub, all one piece. The wheels have a 7" backspacing, I've been chatting with a few buddies in the wheel game to see what we can do. The pattern is 6 x 180mm, I haven't looked for any wheels in that pattern yet.

There are some 6x180 wheels available for sprinters I think. Some with offsets around 100-160mm. Might work with a spacer.

33s (255/85/16, 33.5") were a bit ambitious, stepping down to a 265/75/16 (31.7) to avoid body mods. Should be driving tomorrow!

that combination of size, lug pattern and offset is a tough nut to crack...you may be better off just having some re-hooped to 17x8...you'd have a lot better tire selection and you could tune the offset a bit.
I think Stockton Wheel still rehoops steel wheels

How does the front driveshaft hook back up with the diff dropped? We can only see it being able to come down maybe 3/4" before the driveshaft joints are in a bind.

Van looks good!

Good question and what I've been dealing with the last few days. Weighing options with the diff placement and angle, not much to work with as you know. We've had the diff in 3 locations already. Dropped, dropped and forward, dropped less. We may bring it back up to the stock location and go with an aftermarket CV to deal with the angles. Custom shaft and flanges with a diff drop or custom CVs with it in the stock location...... Those are the only 2 options I see. Van is coming back in next week for more play time.

Curious to see what you guys think and how you'll approach it.

Could you do a custom driveshaft and leave the diff in the stock location? It seems like it would be better for clearance.

With the strut front ends, lifting by increasing arm angle causes undesirable handling changes. With vans the breakover angle tends to be the most limiting in my experience anyway.

Does the front driveshaft use cv joints at both ends (repezza)? A better approach might be to angle the pinion up enough to use a regular UJ there, and swap to a high angle CV at the tcase? That shaft is devilishly short...

Would it be possible to lower the engine and trans as well? That would eliminate shaft issues, not ideal from every other perspective.
