Nice set up. I have yet to see a dickinson heater set up and run out the tent like this. And I gotta say with a chair like that inside the camper you travel in comfort and style. It's like a mini lazy boy. I like it. Good luck with the sale.

I've been using a Bold North Outdoors 200 Series 50ah LifeP04 battery. Adequate for my purposes, but perhaps too small for most. Happy to throw it in.

Can you please tell us how you close the roof would the chimney? I assume you detach the outer chimney, but does the inner one have to be removed as well? Is that some sort of twist lock port? Really slick implementation.

Hi dstefan. First, thanks! It was a challenge to figure out how to install a heater in the X1 while still enabling the doors to fully open. I was finally inspired by snow camping hot tents. The stovepipe fitting are all held in place by gravity. To close the X1 top, you first pop off the stovepipe cap on the outside. Then on the inside, you pull up on the double pipe to disengage it from the double flange on top of the stove. Then pull the pipe out through the silicone stove jack and stow. There are springs around the inner pipe to keep it in centered inside the outer pipe. You remove them together. No need for removing one at a time. Takes less than a minute to install or remove.
