Honestly I don't advise anyone to get any sort of non-factory alarm or remote start for just this reason.
Yup. It's a coin toss. When I worked for a dealership we had to have several removed from cars due to issues they caused.

That being said, it's coming up 6 years that we've had our Tucson and when we bought it, it had an aftermarket starter. Never an issue.

Guess it can depend on the competence of the installer as well.

Even dealer installed is suspect to me. I know some options are that way and they will be covered under "factory" warranty as well... but ehhh just not something I'd recommend.

Well if my experiences from working at a dealership 12 years ago was any indication the dealership that did your Tucson didn't have the wiring done by pulling one of the detailers away from cleaning!

I'm guessing not! Yikes!
When the dealer I worked at had them installed, we sent them to a 3rd party shop that specialized in remote starter installations.

Is it riding season yet?
Every 2019 (might be 18, can't remember) and newer F150 has remote start built in from the factory, it's just not "enabled". Ford offers a remote start the dealer installs that is literally plugging in a module, and programming with the IDS. Once done, you just press lock, unlock, lock, on your factory key fob and the truck starts. No worries about wiring issues down the road, or it screwing with the trucks electrical systems.

What is the extra 2 ways of power in the power seat in the 8 way vs 6?
Lowly XLT owner 4 life here, in happy I have a dial to twist for lumbar.
Back in my GM days half my car's had dual climate control and 6 way seat.
Up, down, fore, aft, tilt forward, tilt back. That's 3 ways.
