2023 Ford Raptor- Continuation

You get on FRF yet? Perhaps you could share to other GEN3 Raptor owners there is more to ownership than wraps and PPF coatings.

Yup i'm on there haha. I'm actually having the truck wrapped matte grey to protect from the bush scratches. Have a friend who does it for a living so works out well. Lol.

I'm actually alarmed at how well the truck... leaves the surface for a moment... and lands so smoothly. Doesn't feel like it's even bottoming out, so I think that's within design limits. I hope.

Honestly that is probably the shocking thing about driving them from stock. Like once you start adding BS it goes away, but yeah they did these trucks right to get the most fun out of them from the factory.
 
The ram's can't carry ********. Hell, the TRX has a lower payload than a maverick. I constantly see ram's around here with a small load of lumber in them or a double snowmobile trailer on and they are pooched. Our F150, same approx. load and it probably squats and inch. Coil springs in the ram 1500/trx are horrible.

Crazy, especially considering the Raptor has coil springs as well.
 
My guess is more companies will start offering a higher load spring for the rear, right now Geiser I think is the only one that offers rear springs for the Gen 3s.

I have a Gen 2 with Icon Leaf springs and I have 300 pounds in the bed and it's tall in the rear now. Once I add another 100-200 pounds, it should lower a tiny bit but will still be raked even with 2.25" collars in the front. Also running 37s. Changing out the leafs in gen 1 and gen 2s make it feel closer to a gen 3 linked rear. Soft and planted.

Yup the complete elimination of axle wrap caused by the leafs is gone, which is such a game changer. I'm debating heavier coils but then the unloaded ride will suffer. TBD.

All the big names in suspension have stuff in the works for the rear axle I'm sure.

Do you have all that lift on option 1?

When I was shopping for a new truck I saw that heavier coils are available for the rams and those guys say the progressive springs dont change unloaded ride.

I didn’t know the Raptors were coil sprung.
