True and to make matters worse, at least in this case, it is the aluminum that will corrode, not the brass.

They would be isolated.
I mounted the cleats on a whim and they have no real function other than they look good in my eye.
With that said, I'm thinking of replacing them with a couple back up lights that would serve a better purpose.

True and to make matters worse, at least in this case, it is the aluminum that will corrode, not the brass.

With isolation of a polyethylene gasket and Tef-gel on the aluminum, the corrosion can be kept at bay.

Started fitting bed boards today.
Made a template for cutting the d-ring mortises.
Then decided to forgo the recessed d-rings.

Capped the plank ends, still need to let the cap into the planks to make flush.
