Those wheels won't be unique for much longer now, bro. :)
When Scott talks about something on his truck, guess what everyone else dashes out the door to buy?

Slight thread hijack:

What are the on-road handling characteristics of a 235/85 E-range tire compared with a 265/75 D-range tire?

Thanks Scotty! I was going to PM you about these this weekend. I'll be ordering up a set for the 60 in the coming weeks.

I want to know also.

I have never had the other size to compare, but my 235's handle GREAT. Of course I do not do power slides in the parking spaces. I have not autocrossed them either... :cow: BUT for daily driving they are AWESOME - they do not catch many road imperfections and therefore track straight very easily. I think the lighter weight also help the drive train live a longer, happier life.

And it should help your mpg too, right? My stock 265/70R 16's are getting close to the end of their useful life so I think I'll be moving up to 235/85s when I get new tires. My goal is to have the new tires on before the first big snow hits, which I'm guessing will probably be early to mid December.

If you are looking for a very strong 235/85R16 look at Michelin XPS Traction. All steel casing (steel sidewall), thick rubber in sidewall, mud traction tread, despite that long tread life even on heavy vehicles (like a F350 crewcab!).
Not cheap, but with Michelin truck tires you get what you pay for.

No, what I'm trying to determine is whether the 235 will ride like a brick because they are E load rated or be squirmy for whatever reason. Also would the 265 be more supple off road because it is D rated?

I had the 235's and I liked them better than the 265's. They were all around better. Because they were a little narrower the truck actually drove better on and off road. I would still be running them had I not lifted the truck and went up to 255's.

Well then that settles it, I will get the 235's when I get new tires. Thanks for all the feedback on this guys.
