I put some on my 2022 Ram Power Wagon using the stock 17X8 rims. Mickey Thompson Baja Boss E-rated. They balanced easily and run smooth gripping the wet roads nicely. I have about 2000 miles on them with no mud or snow yet. Living in the Tampa Florida area I probably will not see snow anytime soon :)
Mounted to the rim and aired up they measure about 34.6" Installed on the truck they measure about 34". I run them at 47 PSI-fronts and 50 PSI for the rears. This image compares the original 285/70-R17 duratracs that came with the truck.
Thanks for your reply on this thread. I have a Ram 2500 and am considering the same tires. Do they rub on full-lock left or right? Thanks again

Edit: Oops, I did not read carefully enough... I see now this is about 255/85R17... My bad...

I love the 255/80R17 size, as well as the 16" version, 255/85R16. I had STMaxx's in this size on my TJ, and then put Mastercraft CXT's in these sizes on both at the next go-round. Jeep still running the CXT's, GMC wore them out and I replaced them with some budget Delinte CX-10's in 285/70R17 to get a mountain snowflake rating. I do not care for the 285's. Truck much less happy steering on pavement at low speeds, mileage seems a tad worse, ride not better, throws more mud on itself (I live on a dirt road)... I'll be watching for a "deal" on some other 3PMS tire in 255/80R17 and swapping them out when I find one.

I run them along side of Mickey Thompson bb in 35x12.5-17 and the 255/85-17 are slightly taller and have done great off and on road in all kinds of conditions. the 35's look beefier of course but if I could only run one tire I would have to flip a coin.

Curious about your experiences with each... compare and contrast ride, traction, handling, etc.

You'll need quite a bit more pressure for the skinny tires.

if this is for me. I run them both at about 28-30psi on road and 14 or so psi off road. both handle great on and off and the pizza cutters are wearing really well like under 2/32nds in about 8000 miles. crazy thing is the MT's might be a smidge quieter at 70+mph. Both get exactly the same mpg which surprised me as I figured the Pizza cutters would do better. I am really impressed on snowy and icy roads with the AT's. I have had Toyo AT3 and Falken AT3W and these are impressive.

Are you running them on the Power Wagon?

Too bad they are not available in the MT tread pattern. Heck, too bad the tire size in general is not more widely produced..
