33 x 9.5 on my blazer. Pretty darn close to the 255/85's. And I am loving them.

For comparison, here it is with 32x11.5's. Looked great, drove like crap, long story. Happily drinking the tall skinny cool aid now.

I should have a trip report shortly. Got home and got busy ao haven't got it done. I would be interested in how the KM2's are wearing in loaded trucks also.

285 55 R 16 not 255 85 R 16

Andre, the OP is asking about 255/85-16s. I've not heard of a 285/55 before, which would end up being a low profile size tire (wider track with little sidewall).

Specification Sidewall Radius Diameter Circumference Revs/Mile Difference
255/85-16 8.5in 16.5in 33.1in 103.9in 610 0.0%

16 Years on ExPo. Whoa!!
Sorry I had this backwards. There are references to both all over the site wher it is written 285 55 R 16 so it's easy to get confused. My mistake on this thread...

It's all good

I made the mistake of not labeling this thread "255/85's on the best looking fullsize trucks out there thread"!

Thanks again you guy's. I just need to figure out which ones to pick up. I need an aggressive tread so I'm starting to think the BFG's or the Coopers are what might be best.

The 255 BFG's perform as well as any other mud tire I have used in the past. I prefer a narrower tire because I spend a lot of time on loose gravel roads where the wider tires do not seem to grip as well.

Fuel economy dropped marginally (5% maybe) over the smaller diameter stock size. A small but noticeable drop.
