So im finally in the market for a expo truck. As I have done lots of long distance backroads trips throughout B.C. and Alberta in a Jeep, im ready to upgrade. I will be looking for a 1994-2002 Dodge Ram 2500 reg cab long box 4x4 with a 5.9L (360). Im excited to get out of my honda civic and back into something that is a little more "me". My plans for it so far will be a 7" Skyjacker long arm with 38x14.50R17 BFG KM2's or the new Goodyear Wrangley MTR with Kevlar, mounted on some 17x9 black steel wheels. Full length rock sliders, front and rear tube bumpers similar in design with the "rock defense" trailgear bumpers for toyotas, would also like to incorporate a swing out tire carrier and gerry can holder. 12,000lb Tabor winch, dual batteries, CB and VHF radios, lights etc.. Hopefully next summer I will be able to get a pop top camper for it, Ive been looking at the palomino broncos, and they seem really nice and weigh in under 1500 lbs. I will be driving this a few times a week which will be nice as it will let me know if it needs any major work before planning some long distance trips next summer.
If anyone has any input on the truck or things I have planned shoot me your info or any critique/advice you may have. Also if anyone has pictures of similar dodges outfitted for expo, lets see em!!!:victory:
