Nice trip. We were in Greer in July for a bit and drove around Big Lake. Good thing you didn't run in to escapees John McCluskey and his fiance-cousin Casslyn Welch. The news reports say they were captured on the 19th SE of Sunrise and in the "Springerville area" which sounds like somewhere along 273 (Big Lake to Alpine.)
