4.5L D4D coming to USA - in a boat

I didn't know that Toyota makes pleasure craft. Here's a PDF describing a 35 foot vessel powered by a pair of 4.5L turbodiesel engines. They are related to the V8 diesel Toyota uses in the Land Cruiser 200 and Land Cruiser 70 series.

Back when the Tundra first rolled out, Toyota marketed an I-Force powered ski boat. Big automotive V8 diesels seem to be a hot ticket for pleasure craft. Cummins marine currently sells one based on VW's V8 diesel. Making 100hp MORE than the LandCruiser version is none too shabby, either.

This motor in marine trim has been around since at least 2011. To date, reviews have been average or below. Low ratings on fuel burn and as usual, they are very proud of the engines as seen in the replacement parts prices!
