Nathan, are they coming out of the same factory as Mombasa and Camping lab?

After a quick look, I would say that they are coming from Shanghai Fosset Co. I have tested multiple samples branded under a variety of names including product directly from SFC and deemed them not up to snuff.

Cheap short term solution IMO. Buy quality and cry once.

They're knock-offs. I'd rather pay 3x as much and get a quality unit with integrity. And I make about $18k/yr. The price is tempting, but I've already learned my lesson as far as "cheap" things go. Cheap is a quality, inexpensive is a price. The only thing you're getting a deal on is frustration, and a headache.

My .02 that nobody asked for...

Craigslist post is gonzo. Anybody ever hear anything from them or know whats going on? The whole thing is seeming so sketchy to me now.

I don't know how many Jason has left, if any at all. But I do know the owner of Overland Accessories and I have two of the tents in my possession. I have the prototype of the Adventurer that Nathan mentions, and I have a "rental" orange one. Yes, some quality issues as far as ladder etc but most can be fixed in a day with some inexpensive modifications. At $350 each, well worth it if RTT is your bag.

The deal is not sketchy and not shady in any way. Nathan pretty much gives all the correct info.

Anyone interested in seeing one is free to come by my house after 5pm or on weekends. Altadena. Or if you buy me lunch in north hollywood I can drive the truck to work.

Lisa likes the driving smiley . . so here you go Lisa :smiley_drive:

(why is he on the wrong side of the car driving? is he a DMV test administrator?
