I added a third beam with a removable hitch.
Some aluminum diamond plate on top for now.
I will add a box later on.....

The hitch is removable and it allows to be extended up to 3 feet.
I will never be pulling this guy with the hitch in the extended position,
it is more of a "get out of the hole" situation which allows for a sharp U turn.

When we set camp we usually like to drive out and explore.
Removing the hitch makes it harder for someone to simply drive up and take your rig ;-)

I have a "walk-on" roof so I needed an easy way to get on top of it, if I ever need to.
I had this extra ladder from when I ordered my Tepui tent, so I used it.
I bolted it to the door using some aluminum "ears"....

I still need to fab a "hanger" for it, in the meantime it is secure with some rubber tie downs.

Very nice!

Benny, you are really doing this right. Please, if you have any questions from my build, please ask away and learn from my mistakes.
Welcome to the "Cargo Club" You will love knowing that you did the trailer the way you wanted it. We will need to meet up someday and check out the finished product.

Your Trailer and cowboy4x4 are my inspiration.....ha ha!
There are 2 more cargo conversion out there but I cannot remember their names.
The minute I saw one I was hooked......I have to get on second gear with this project.....

Rims !!!

Tires !!!!
These are too nice to go on the trailer.
I will install them on my Taco, and the ones on my Taco will go on the trailer.

Question... Why 4 jacks? I chose to use 3 and level my trailer like a tri-pod, one up front and two in the back. I was afraid that with 4, I'd either try and twist the frame, or constantly be chasing the one jack that isn't pushing down as much as the others. Just wondering what your reasoning is for four. I'm sure it will work great either way with nice heavy duty jacks like that.

Also, I like the tires...
