Hi guys. I'm building a M923A2 6x6 into a camper. I want to remove the bed and build my own camper box. Im having trouble finding info on the different types of ways to mount the box to allow it to move independently of the trucks frame. Any pointers? Thanks.
Use the same method of mounting the military did. It works, is simple to work on, and is paid for. Offroad those trucks could haul 5 tons, 10 tons on road. Is your camper box really going to weigh 10k pounds?
Thanks for the info. I'm thinking about using a similar spring mount like stock set up in the rear. I would like to incorporate airbags to hold the front of the box mid frame. I will probably just do some frame flex testing with no bed on and think of something. I have already built a camper out of one and the stock suspension is very rough on the camper.
