Well its probably gonna be a few wels if not a month before I have it. But will do!
Man, congrats on the purchase! Have you considered flying out to get it and driving back home? Would be a heck of a trip.

Deeds been done. Picked up a 98 hundie with hair under 130k miles. Clean as a button too (well bought it sight unseen but have no reason to fear otherwise)
New tires ~ 1500
So I'm a tad over budget but not horribly.
I was rounding and figuring mounting and balancing. I'm actually trying to decide between cooper st maxx and duratracs. The soft sidewalks of a duratrac ar the only thing I'm worried about
Going with a 285/75/16. I'd prefer a 255/85/16 but I think that's too small of a tire on a 8" wheel
Any thoughts?
Oh I gotz thoughts...
I run 285/75/16 Duratracs on my hundy with stock rims and 2" lift, and its a great DD and weekend romp set up. I'm on my 3rd set of Duratracs and recommend the E load vs the C if you air-down and wheel with'm. Duratracs are by far the best on/off road tire if run, and that comes from 30 years of playing in the dirt. C load rating on DTs is very soft so some reason. That said, I run BFG KM2 in 255/85/16 on my FZJ80 and RRC, but on 7" steel rims. When aired down I've not noticed a performance difference between the DT and KM2s. But I think the KM2 are beefier and tad noisier thats all. The 255s would get eaten up in the wheel wells of the hundy pretty quick, the extra width of 285 seem to fill the wells a bit better. In hind sight I shoulda got a 255 for the hundy spare tire well, so not to risk puncture on exits, the 285 hangs down and is exposed bit. I have no run rate with the STMaxx.
The hundy is an amazing truck for the money (in the US), only wish is that it had solid front axle and spring up front for more articulation. But hey its got heated seats... Happi trails!

The KM2's I've had on other vehicles certainly are noisy. That and the fact they wore quickly and have no siping is keeping me away from them.
<snip>
Just wondering, were they KM or KM2's? I ask because the original KM were noisy but the KM2's are supposed to be quieter and smoother. I've had both and the KM2's definitely are smoother on the road than the KM's. It's hard for me to tell if they're quieter because my Disco itself is noisy, a combination of HD engine mounts and a roof rack.
