Not gonna fall apart..Still gotta dril bolt holes and round off corners on the front legs then drill new holes in floor board then mount it up and do the same thing for drivers side. Plenty of room under the seats for amps and inverters or whatever else manages to get under there.

Very nice. Those 2nd row seats look like they are higher than is standard. Great for giraffes like me but maybe not so comfortable for little ones. I'll bet you could fab a little fold-out or slide-out shelf or step for them to step on or rest their feet on while seated.

Looking great. I love older vehicles with modern upgrades.

Ha ha , thanks man.

Last night I got the middle row drivers side seat modified and welded up the rear mount on it. Funny thing is the sliders are wider than the passenger side by over a 1/2" also the rear of the sliders are not even but the front is? I guess the stock brackets make up for this but I had to make a spacer to even it out to sit flat on my bracket. There is a 5/8" difference in height at the back edge of the slider, so that threw me off and delayed my progress a little.

So tonight I hope to finish off the brackets but dont really see that happening since it is raining a lot and I need to set the seat in place and tack the front legs on to get a good fit. Then after all the holes are drilled in the body I can pull all the seats back out and clean the floor and start the quick roofing the floor (same stuff I used behind the dash on the firewall). Prolly only do to the front edge of the 2nd row seats or there abouts since I have to cut out the front floor boards later.

Anyway should be posting up pics soon!!

I found a way to spend another $3150.00 on Subzila, been looking at transmissions and options to drop my RPMs on the highway and have decided on a gear vendor. I looked at a full manual vale body 4L80 but it was 3100.00 on it's own and if it goes out would be about 2-2500K to rebuild. Plus a new torque converter at $600 so still a lot of money.

Now going with a gear vendor I get the same .78 overdrive making my gear ratio effectivly a 3.20 in 3rd over, not to mention it has a manual mode so I can split every gear making a 6 speed close ratio trans out of my TH400. And as everybody knows the TH400 is supposed to be the eaisest trans to rebuild and just about the strongest there is too and plenty to go around so if I am out on the road and it breaks it will be much cheaper to get me going again.

The only other extra expence would be shorting the drive shaft and it will change my angles too but prolly not enough to cause any vibrations. So overall I think a gear vendor is a much better option than getting and overdrive trans especially since I will be towing a lot with it.

What are your opinions on this or experiance with a gear vendor??
