91 Toyota SR-5 Looks a little too plain it needs something??????

Yes Co-Opski. I do not want all that chrome crap. Just want it too look like a clean rock crawler (off road truck). I totally agree with the snorkle but don't you have to cut a hole in the fender for that?? Yes, I don't like shiny black it will make it look plastic it needs flat black.

Ha Ha good one. No, I love offroading but if I do something I'm not gonna go crazy. Unless I get a beater, I'm sure I could find one down the road.

Guys, please let me know if you find a reasonably priced ARB bullbar on CL or something. Thanks

"Reasonably priced ARB Bullbar?" isn't that right up there with "Military Intelligence" as an oxymoron? :p

Actually your best bet would be to find a vehicle being parted out. Also if you want to save money you could go with some kind of tube bumper. They are typically several hundred bucks cheaper than an ARB. They are also lighter.

Why wait until March? I might heading out in that direction around NYE.. is it not optimal time of year?

Not really. They get snow in Moab, you know. Not as much as they do in the higher elevations, but it's enough to get a lot of the more prominent trails closed.

Wife and I went to Moab in February of '09. We were able to run Gemini Bridges and Long Canyon but we couldn't do the switchbacks on Schaefer trail, they were closed due to snow. :(

Mid-March is when things really start opening up there. By mid April the place is rockin', and of course the Easter Jeep Safari is over Easter weekend.

Check out your local junkyards for some 2nd gen 4runners and hopefully get some factory 4.56s gears to put up front and have set up in the elocker in the back. If you are really concerned with cosmetics, a 2nd gen 4runner front end looks really good on those trucks.

With the tcase gears and locker out back your truck will be very controllable off road, drive amazing on road, and ride very well with the Old Man Emu suspension.

That is beautiful. (right click, save target as :victory:)

I am hopefully picking up a mint, broken 3.0, 5 speed truck exactly like that. Hopes to make it into a budget expo rig.
The 3.0 will be replaced with a buick/camaro 3800 though and eventually supercharged. :sombrero:
