Looks like a good time. Did you ever get the wondering front end figured out?

It was a great trip!! and no..... I think its slightly better, if I stay on the ump and line while driving it goes nearly straight, if that makes sense. Im thinking maybe alignment? Or its the tires. I cant find any more play in the front end....

Try swapping them left to right maybe? Use a toe bar to see if its off.

I just happen to have a set of toe plates in my garage :sombrero: Ill check, but I think its the rear tires.... Changing them is when it happened (it did sit for 6 months after changing them)

I'm kind of amazed at your ability to camp in ski area parking lots, and having a fire on top of that. No chance of stealth camping with a fire. I've been told to leave a couple, and once I even got towed at the end of the day while I was in the bar. Fortunately, I was nearby and someone told me so I was able to get there before the truck left. I talked the driver into putting it back down, but i had to pay him the cost of the tow before he would. Granted this was quite a few years ago, so thing may have changed a bit, but I still see the no over night parking signs. Glad you have figured it out though...............

Yeah definitely depends on the location. We had the cops called on us once, and that was just because someone in the yuppie condos above complained. Just put the fire out and went to bed.

Most places (other than some "upscale" resorts) have been cool with it. Most have a designated area back in very back of the lots for camping. Some want a few bucks to camp.

Looks like a good trip! We are heading out next week for 5 days!
Most ski resorts in WA allow camping. Some free. Some pay. Not sure about BC but hope to find out soon!

Awesome! Where are you heading? Most in BC are cool, except whistler....

Good to know as were headed to BC on a hot springs tour in a couple weeks and plan to pass through Whistler. Thanks..........

There is an RV park down the road a ways, but no overnight camping in the whistler lots.... Unless your van is very sneaky, then there are like 10 overnight spots, and they fill up fast. But no camping allowed.

I've had similar issues for some time. I installed a new steering box, new steering damper, new Fox shocks, checked all the tierod ends, ball joints etc and got some improvements. I finally got some big improvement by simply increasing the tire pressre to near max. The ride has become quite a bit more harsh, but directional stability is much better, I'm not constantly making corrections now, it's much more relaxing to drive. I"m running Goodyear Dura Trac's and while they seem to wear well and have great traction, the side walls flex a lot at lower pressures. Max recomended pressure on those tires is 80lbs, I've been running around 55 to 60, but bumped them up to 70 and saw a big difference. It's an easy thing to try.....................

Tables are available from most tire mfgs with load/psi relationships outlined. I tend toward higher inflation pressures for longevity, mileage, handling, etc ESPECIALLY with duals.

I will have to investigate then. The Winnebago door sticker says 65F 60R.

I have to assume it depends a lot on the tire. The Dura Trac's seem to have much weaker sidewalls than a lot of other tires, so higher pressures really helps. In fact they are known for being prone to sidewall punctures, I managed to rip one apart from brushing against a log on the ground.

Yes I'm sure it does. I'm running Toyo at2's in the front and treadwright retreads in the rear (built on Michelin XPS carcasses)
