Just read this thread.
WOW!!

Thanks!

First snow trip of the year. I will say pulling over and locking in the hubs is priceless when chains are required and its DUMPING snow!!

Went up that road a ways, it got really tight, got to make a 37 point turn, in the middle of the night, without going off the edge...

Broke out the fire pit and had some beers, slept great!

Took it out again this weekend. Most awesome to not have to chain up going over the passes. Saw a lot of accidents.....

Going on a week long trip after xmas. Long list of To Do's before then...

Hydraulic levelers just didn't work. I may have overfilled the reservoir. Not sure if that would keep them from working, but the tank is installed about 1" from the floor, and the cap is 1" tall.... Makes it very hard to deal with. Its a standard electric hydraulic pump, like used on dump truck, hoists etc, anyone have an idea? I can hear the relays click when I hit the controls.

Also the e brake switch seems to be going out (which also lock out the levelers!) arrg.

Brake lights need work.

Needs oil change.

Really need to dig into the wiring at some point. Its a rats nest under the dash from the PO pulling all the emergency light and horn controllers. Id really like the horn controller back... Cant figure out which one it originally was. My horn was spliced into somewhere and doesn't work without the module. Plus the sirens are under the bumper still :)

Been wanting to do something with the exterior lights, it has 3 on each side, BUT they are 35W halogens, eats batteries! So I pulled all the bulbs, and put two smd 5050 48 chip panels in the center lights, they are BRIGHT! So 210W pulled, 35W back in and just about as much light. One project down.

You can just see the panels here. I mounted them to the lens rather than the reflector.

Can you explain the heating system you have? Sounds like a great rig...and great you are using in winter.
It's just a standard forced air RV heater. Iirc it's 10k BTU's. Noisey and eats some batteries with a big fan, but gets its really warm.

We are on the road now, staying for a week skiing and camping.

Drifted in really good this morning. 60+ gusts and sustained 20-26.

But we were warm all night. It was rocking even with the Jacks down.
