Hello,
Up for sale is my 1997 LX 450. $13,000.00
I have owned this for the last 7 years and have enjoyed it as a Hunting and Fly fishing rig. I think this would be a great opportunity for someone looking to do a more serious overland build coupled with the items I have already done.
When I purchased this it had 163k on the clock and now is at 202,750 ish. Over the years I modified it from its original stock form with the following mods.
Installed the ARB deluxe front bumper with a Warn se xd9000 cable winch. $2,500.00
Installed OME 2.5 inch medium $1,025.00
Upgraded to 255/85/16 BFG km 2 MT all 5. $1,285.00
Upgraded the head unit to an Alpine deck with 4 new speakers and amp. $750.00
Installed Renogy 100 amp solar panel along with a secondary house battery for
on board refrigerator. $650.00
Installed a Howling Moon 6’ awning on custom low profile roof rack. $385.00
Installed a custom swing out rear bumper with spare tire carrier and drop down
cook table. $1,250.00
Built out the back area with Baltic Birch plywood deck and 36” slide out drawers. $975.00
Total mods $8,820.00
All and all really a great rig. I’ve driven this from New Mexico to Montana a couple of
times and never have had any issues. AC blows cold as it should.
On top of the performance mods listed above, I have also done the following maintenance to the rig.
Replaced all the coolant lines, water pump, radiator and belts with OEM parts. $1,150.00
Replaced the master cylinder with OEM parts. $275.00
Basic brake pads with OEM parts. $200.00
Serviced the tranny at the dealership. $315.00
Installed OEM cables and spark plugs along with rotor and cap at the dealership. $436.00
Mechanical maint. $2,376.00
Hopefully someone sees the potential and wants to finish/add to what I’ve done or just
run it like it is. Super dependable rig.
