Alright people, with all the camping and off-roading that goes on here someone must have a solution. Cockroaches! How do you get rid of them in the car!!!! Surely someone would have picked up a few along the way and put some in your vehicle along with the cooking box. How the heck do you get them out and what did you use/do?

I don't see any reason why you can't just use a regular bog fogger available from the hardware store. I say open the windows a half inch an follow the directions.
Obviously, you would want to remove any gear you have stored in the truck, especially any food or cooking gear.
If it is your daily driver, you might want to borrow another vehicle for a couple days while it airs out.
edit: A little searching around suggest pulling the car into the garage, open all the windows and then set the fogger off in the garage, not actually in the car. This seems like good advice.

You have no idea how much I would love to explore Canada using my own vehicle! Apparently it is really cold back home as well. These Aussie cockroaches wouldn't stand a chance in cold like that. They would bolt at the first mention of the word cold. Ha, maybe I'll ship it over and customs can clean my car for me. They wouldn't even let it in!
The bug bomb was the first thing I thought of, but upon further research there is risks of ruining the plastics, explosions/fire from shorts or sparks and I am concerned about the leather. I have been instructed to is surface spray and spray all the little tight areas and seal it up overnight. Work on the same idea as the bug bomb but I am controlling it. I also like that silica powder earth stuff and sprinkle it all over the carpet. I will see how it goes

watch where they come out from, and apply a generous dose of food grade diatomaceous earth around that area. You can buy the stuff at pool stores, and you can put it in your pets food to kill worms.

I had that problem once after helping someone move.
Asked a buddy of mine who is a pest control professional what to do about it. He came over, threw a tarp over the truck with sandbags all around to hold it down and then plugged in his fumigation fogger machine and pumped the space full of some sort of fog.
Then we had BBQ and beer for a couple hours.
It worked, and I didn't notice any problems with the truck or the plastics or anything. I think the fog he used was the same stuff they use when fumigating houses.
