What map do you use though...I have looked through a couple and don't really like the look...is it worth paying the 12 bucks and getting the premium

I can't remember which maps are available to non premium subscribers

What look are you looking for? If you zoom in to 16, you should be able to see good detail.

I use CalTopo, USTopo: Imagery with Markup, US Forest Service, and CalTopo US 24 Topo Maps

First Annual Florida Xterra Citrus Rally

Several Florida Xterra owners gathered at the Withlacoochee State Forest this past weekend for a bit of camping and trail riding. I missed the Saturday ride where there were 2 groups of ten rigs exploring the forest. the boys and I camped Saturday night and rode the trails on Sunday. the Sunday crew was a bit smaller. and since I know the forest well and have a CB, I volunteered for Tailgunner duty. but that also meant I missed most of the action shots. we had a great day, nevertheless.

Lunch time

Good times!

To be continued...

What happened to the Xterra getting towed out of the puddle?

There were 2 rigs that bogged down in the same pit back to back. One was stock and the other highly modified. Both were fine. They were recovered and we continued our ride.

Great pics and awesome rigs. Looks like fun.

Thank you. We had a great time. Can't wait to get back out.

But Scout went for a piggy back ride last night...

******........what happened??

Clutch most likely, but I'm not 100% sure. I brought it to a performance shop, but the crew is at a trade show this weekend. They'll look at it tomorrow. My friend works in Parts, so she has all the clutch parts ordered for me and ready to go if that's the case.

Sorry to be away for so long. Scout's clutch blew out. I chose to go with Jim Wolf Technology (JWT), clutch and flywheel. and while it was in shop, I had the clutch master cylinder and slave replaced, as well as all seals and front diff fluid (the rear had recently been changed). the first 1000 miles on the new clutch had me worried that I made the wrong decision. the truck has a horrible shutter in 1st gear and sometimes into 2nd. but by 1300 miles, I noticed it becoming less of a problem. now at about 1700 miles, it seems ever so slight. i'm sure it will go away altogether. now I feel confident to take it on the trails again. I've taken the downtime to do a couple of MODs, general cleanup of the truck and some easy going beach trips.

---first order of business was this little necessity.... rear diff breather extension

---next was more of a security MOD. Hitch Safe. i'll use it for cash and a spare key
