Just talked with the company that is assessing what it will cost to fix the RRC. $6k to repair it. And he wasn't supposed to tell me that. That definitely totals her.A Land Rover is never truly dead.
Get it back and fix it. Granted it will take time and effort but it's a rare Classic model and you had plans for it. You'll always wonder what could have been if you dont...
I wonder how much the retain option would be...
Just pull the ABS fuse, everyone else does.
Regarding everything else-keep in mind that platform did the Camel Trophy (well....the diesel did). Toyota? Well, it moves the Taliban Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
DAMN! Well when you put it like that...
That ABS light bugs the hell out of me. As does the SRS light that’s on. I fix stuff when it breaks. Pulling the ABS fuse doesn’t FIX the problem.Yesterday I parked it, turned it off, & heard a “buzzing” sound. The ABS pump fan wouldn’t stop. So I unplugged that, but it’s one more rabbit hole. Then, I ask myself would I feel the same if it wasa Toyota? Would I just be frustrated & complain about Japanese engineering & electronics? Being honest, probably not...
The 4.6l swap makes all the difference for me. If it had a 3.9l, I probably wouldn’t be digging it as much. Now I’m fantasizing about NATO steel wheels & tall-n-skinny tires & Safety Devices roof racks...
I guess I should give the Brits a chance.
I daily drove an FJ60 for about 5 years. They’re beautiful and full of character. Top speed was probably 55-60 in 4th gear. Getting the thing to pass smog was an expensive headache each time.
Top speed with the 4 speed is more like 65-70.
