Wow, this thread is making me rethink the value of having a compass/t.s. in my tundras mirror. I been thinking it is handy but now cool and maybe my favorite option

They are damn handy, having your temp at a glance on wet roads this time of year. Keeps your awareness level up. And if driving in the mountains, you sure don't want to have to rely on the hourly NOAA feed. I believe the sensor on the Tacoma is just behind the grill.

This may have been mentioned, but if you use Edge products like Juice or the simple display "Insight" they have a module that gives outside temps.

Maybe because of the climate here I don't fully understand. What are the benefits of an outside thermometer?

Works great, but I use it in my fridge! So yeah, it goes down low in temp!
