Adventures of Blimpy

We made it!

Well, a quick jaunt up to Oak Harbor, WA for a 2500 mile break-in trip on the 80.

At 224K miles, I think this thing is finally starting to loosen up :sombrero: Everything went well, other than the spotty AC performance, no problems. Burned about 2 quarts of oil and 175 gallons of fuel. Towing a trailer on the way up, and driving like a lead-footed California native the whole way, averaged 14+MPG.

I will post a quick trip report later.

Next on the PM list:

Reinstall the windshield, CORRECTLY. It doesn't appear to have been done properly, as it leaks pretty bad (air and water).

Fix the HVAC system. Probably just pull the whole thing, thorough cleaning, replace parts where needed and reinstall. Don't want to start throwing parts at it one at a time.

Rear axle, seals and bearings.

Also, the rear boxes/on-board water/fridge are almost done. Pics soon.

So far I really enjoy this truck.
