Maybe its an age thing, but I think the aluminum siding looks better. I have dented mine with some mild offroading that the new stuff might do better on.

Within a month I will have the truck completed and I will be able to share all the particulars.
This is gonna be good.
Pretty soon you'll be giving mhiscox a run for the "Coolest Expo Vehicle Collection" trophy.

Well, if I gotta give up the title, this is certainly a worthy reason. :)

The setup has a lot in common with the way I my XV-JP has ended up after I had to redo it to fix the shortcomings caused by the giant tent. I think, though, that this setup might prove a little more functional in daily use because of the useful sleeping area above the cab and the quicker tent setup.

Very cool.

Since the camper hangs out over the edge of the bed by and inch or two, the challenge became getting a bumper on. I wanted a way to carry a full size spare and two jerry cans.

The guys at Garvin Industries http://www.wildernessracks.com/ came up with a way to add a bumper that didn't distract from the brute design but was also very useful. As you can see from the photos it's got a secure latch and a way to lock it open. They also designed the passenger side jerry can to swing away so that the bumper can swing out almost 180 degrees. There is a mini latch similar to the main one to secure it down. Lastly the bumper is removable incase I need to remove the camper for maintenance. Next project this winter...5.7 or 6.1 hemi...

*sorry for the quick iphone shots..wanted to get this up for someone

Chad- now that you've had the camper for a bit, is there anything you like or dislike more than expected about it? Anything you would like to add or subtract from the interior?

That rear bumper looks great. Nice work.

good question..

as for the camper theres just a few little things..
1. would of deleted the external electricity hookup..I'm always out in the middle of nowhere..so its kinda useless
2. the sink water exit comes out the side and requires hooking up a hose. Wish It was made thru the bottom of the camper and thru the truck bed so it would just empty easier.
3. location of the plastic heater temperature switch is in a place thats asking to get broken..
4. The seat cushions easily slide off the bench..which is really annoying when trying to read a book

there were some items that were left to installation when I came to pick up the camper that I wasn't very happy with..but not the end of the world

Theres some more modifications I need to do to the Brute due to the weight of the camper to make it A+, but that'll be fixed soon
