AEV Releases Dodge RAM Accessory Line!

Pretty big news.

AEV is showcasing a Ram 2500 at the SEMA show with a stamp-steel bumper, aluminum wheels, highline fender kit and 3" suspension system.

I think it looks pretty wicked on the 40s, a complete departure from the typical full-size truck look. More "Arctic Truck" than "get'er done"

Looks great! Can't wait to see real world pics and evaluation. Slap a bed length pop-up camper and double swing rear bumper with spare and fuel/water and drive it 'till the wheels fall off!

Add the new V6 diesel and it's great fuel economy, some factory lockers and other goodies and you might have one of the best all around overlanding rigs made in the USA.

Great to see AEV going this direction and supporting other platforms.

I particularly like the low-slung look on the 40s. Those flares will make for some interesting options, like a stock-height 1500 with the diesel running 35s or 37s.

In AEV's press release they specifically address the payload of the popular "overlanding" trucks...

IMO, this 2500 or any 3/4 ton for that matter is a much better fit for a FWC or similar than those blatantly overladen tacomas...

I like...

Like Lance, I'm happy to see AEV branching out to other markets besides the JK. I hope the Ram market proves to be as fruitful for them as the JK market. I don't know the demographics of Ram owners well enough to know whether there's a rabid following like the JK community that will invest in these upgrades - I'm hoping there is. At the very least, I'm guessing their suspension upgrades will be quite popular.

I was digging through some photos from my pre-digital era a few days ago and came across a photo I had snapped at a SEMA show 10-11 years ago of an AEV-modified WJ - nice unit. They could've sold some nice parts for that platform too.

I just recently sold my 08 JK that was well equipped with AEV goodies in order to get a 2013 ram 2500 CTD 4X4 as I needed more room / hauling capability, but I still wanted to do overland trips and I am very happy to see that AEV will be coming to this platform with some much needed style and quality! As far as them having success in this platform, as long as their pricing is comparable to their parts on the JK, I think they will do very well, as frankly some of the truck options are very overpriced.

Now that AEV is making parts for a truck, maybe trucks will be "Gucci" enough for Overlanding. Most "Overlander's" scream for a diesel, solid axle and manual transmission. We've had those domestically for a very long time.

After owning some great rigs, I for one grew tired of overloading or near vehicle capacity and made the switch a few years ago and couldn't be happier.

That looks really cool, I too like the 40s without looking like its going to fall over, the bumper is pretty sweet too.
