Alaskan Camper Build Up

I really like the ride and great shock absorbing capabilities of my Bilstein 5150s. I understand that Bilstein is not producing these shocks anymore but I am sure they have an equivalent replacement available. You can get them in a very high pressure setting that is great for huge campers/canopies. They are also available in different ride heights to accommodate lift kits..... Here is a pic of my rear shock set-up....

You got to love Bilsteins...:)

Those are pretty sweet shocks Chilli, I'll have to see what is available. I don't think those reservoir shocks will work with my coil over's on the front though.

Blisten makes 5160s now which are a remote reservoir so you'd just thread the line out the shock tower in your engine bay and mount the reservoir where you can.

The remote mount bilsteins I have on my RRC have a hose that allows me to place the extra reservoir in a different location. I am not sure what your suspension has for mounting, but it's an idea!

I guess when the time comes I'll be making some choices. Hopefully Bilstein will be able to make something that will fit my front coilovers and be long enough for the front lift.

I really like the look of the new table Carl. Sweet install and now all we need is to see a couple of cold ones being enjoyed at the new table!:)

If you come north let me know. I work in Castle Rock/live in Conifer. Would be willing to meet you with my Rover and show you what I did!

Hey Carl, I am kind of curious as to what purpose those lights will be used for? Are they just for lighting up your camp or are they for off-raod driving? What did those lights cost you and what is the amperage draw? Cheers, Chilli....:ylsmoke:

The idea was to bolt the flares to the existing flares. Turned out to be a 'bad' idea. I have now ordered some flat rubber stock that I intend to fasten to the existing fender flares. I ordered 8" wide 3/8" thick stock from (http://www.rubbersheetroll.com/skirtboard_rubber.htm). When I will extend the fender flares by 4" and have 4" of material to fasten to the existing flat surface of the stock flare. I will be back to the project in the second week of April, so will send an update at that time

Please send some pictures when you put them on please.

Thanks
