And second, you are way ahead of the game by getting one that is already 4 Wheel drive. Even though they are a little longer, the Type I (pickup style cab) are much more comfortable to drive, and easier to work on, than the Type III (van style cab). Type1's are more comfortable to drive in what way?
My UJOR E350 is a piece of cake to drive thanks to the UJOR susp, and I can very easily see over the hood whereas on our shop truck ('02 F350 DoKa longbed) it's more difficult.
I can agree on being easier to work on.
Out of curiosity, did you drive any SRW MiniMod Type3's? I've read one testimonial from an ambo driver who said they were the scariest things, and that's why they pretty much were phased out. But that shorter 138" wheelbase, narrower width, and shorter length, makes a terrific compact package!
