Another advantage to mounting the RTT where you are is, there is still space on the rear to mount a couple of solar panels.
That's a good point Patoz, I had in mind to mount a few panels on the roof and it will impact where I'll be moving my roof fan. As for corner braces... no need, this thing is now solid as a rock, way stronger than a typical Sportsmobile. We radius the skin corners:
Then we braced each of the roof's cross-members with matching lateral 2" square tubings and also added an extra one at the front. We got lucky with the weather and I was able to drive back home with my giant sunroof wide open
The only problem we had while welding... no junk food for me!
Now time for a new hat!
