With only a week before driving off, my 80 starts to look like a decent expedition vehicule. Recaro seats, luggage storagespace, homemade drawers etc. and... a full carwrap in new colors and the logo of the sponsor.
We will be doing 9.000km in 4 weeks and with the money we get from this sponsorship we'll be able to support a water related project in Africa when we get back home. A great combination of adventure, fun and charity!
I hope to post some more pics when in Africa.

Looking good H! Where are you headed during the 9000km trip? Have you got a thread/website going?

No, way too cold in the desert in wintertime. It gets very windy and sometimes nighttemperatures are around zero, so I hide behind the truck in my little tent.
The seatbelt covers are very comfy and cheap...I paid 10 euros for a pair at http://link.marktplaats.nl/414360553

The partition is a way to reduce roadtax overhere in Holland. Now it's a 'van' because of the cargobay and therefore I only have to pay 25%!

???So will you be sleeping in the truck then??? Cool that you get over on the gov. with your "van" mod... That's awesome.

Fiiting the seats wasn't easy for me; one came with half an understructure , the other with nothing at all. I found a piece of secondhand homemade steelwork that came out of an 80 and bolted it to the chair and for the other one I had a welder create something based on the legs I got from an old and beaten seat.
Recaro can do this for you as well, but $$$$$$

Today I loaded the truck, it got a mat black hood as well (Avery plastic) installed a little safe, put an extra spare wheel on the roofrack, so tomorrow it's heading South!
Monday night we'll have to catch the nightboat and then the morning after: AFRICA :wings:

Your trip sounds cool!

The only thing that is missing on your LC is sliders? The rest looks ready to go!

Have fun and be safe!
