Another ambulance build...

I just started a new project. It's going to be a expedition style camper/tailgate rig. What a combination!

My plans a are:

6" Ujoint lift
D60 front
Ujoint 4wd/leaf conversion
35" tires
Custom programmed tuner
New headlights
Towing mirrors
12 rv awning
Full roof rack
Kegerator
Dual Honda eu200 generators
Extended ru. 5 gallon generator tank
Sink
Refrigerator
Jack knife sofa
Tv in box
Entertainment center inside back doors including
50" LCD tv
Vuqube sat antanae
Car stereo with 4 6x9s and 2 12s
Dual Propane Tanks with quick disconnects
And whatever else I can think of

Starting point is a 96 E350 with a 7.3 and 164,000 miles

Try photobucket, thier app seems to work OK for me most of the time. Takes a little extra work, but easier in the long run IMHO. Looking forward to pics, build, details, etc. 50" TV is going to be huge!

She was way to long and low to drive up the ramps onto Big Red. We had to get a roll back, pull her up, and drive her onto the semi. My brother has a roll back, so when she arrived at the shop I just planned on repeating the process. Unfortunately he was unavailable so I had to do the best with what I had. Kids, don't try this at home.

These are the old wheels off my old superduty. I scraped together 4 decent tires and I plan on running them until more funds are available.

the old roof rack off my XJ. I plan on reusing the gutter mounts, adding bigger cross bars, and mounting this on top. I will also use the new roof rack to mount an awning.



this ambulance has the work truck headlights. I'm changing them out to make it look a little nicer.

there is also a compartment for ez ups and chairs and well as one that will house the generator and extended run tank

today I worked on getting the awning mounted. Its mounting on the roof rack but I didn't have any steel so I could only mock up the upper mounts for now.

before I went home I slid the front wheel on just to see how it sits. She's huge!

that's it for now. that brings me up to tonight's progress.
I'm taking her to the Arkansas vs A & M game in 2 weeks.
My goals are to have her driving by this Friday. that gives me a week to finish the fun stuff (TV, stereo, beer, etc) while I drive her on some shake down runs before we load up and head out! the tranny and transfer case will have to wait.
