another lift question but a little different

Thinking about changing up my 04 Tacoma Dbl cab, Ive read all the different threads about this and it seems most want the most lift possible (2" +) and the abilitity to carry massive weight, I dont. I would like to freshen up the suspension with a small lift and fit 265/75 tires. I have pretty much decided to go the OME route, Im guessing if I go medium springs Ill get under 2", a better ride both on/off road. Am I thinking along the right lines, will medium springs be ok on the Dbl cab and still give some lift?
Truck is daily driver, use it for juants to Utah and all over Colorado, been on most trails in San Juans and easier stuff Utah, most weight it sees in the bed are coolers and camping gear (200lbs?). Maybe add sliders for protect.
Trying to stay away from problems/expense that come with larger lifts and larger tires.
Does this sound like a sound idea? Suggetions commenst appreciated.

I have 235 85 16 tires and the OME/Dakar set up with the 881 "medium" coils on my DoubleCab. I went with the 881's because I don't have a bull bar and don't intend to. I don't do anything heavy duty with the truck. The ride is fine, I suppose, but it is hard for me to comment on that since my truck is not a DD and, well, compared to my DD the ride is pretty poor! I never quite get used to it. Seems as if this set up will serve me well for what I happen to need, which is not hard core. (By the way, my avatar picture is my truck before I put on the lift...I'll get an up to date picture posted once I take one.)

Ome

On my '04 Extended Cab I have OME heavies up front to handle an ARB bumper with Warn winch. Rears are a lift but OME does not make a "heavy" rear. Anyway - I got much more than two inches front and rear (BTW I do have a shell on the back). Measured and realized a lift of 3.25 front and rear (also put in the 5mm spacer in front). Going to take the spacer out and hope it drops. I have 265/75R16 BFG KM2's. The truck has been settling - but still too tall for my tastes.
Here s what I got:
Heavy Duty Kit 2"-2.5" Lift
Front coils designed for 110 to 220lbs additional FRONT load (winch, bullbar, etc.)
Rear designed for 0lbs to GVM additional REAR load (tire carrier, bumper, etc.)

Ultimate Heavy Kit (Includes EVERYTHING) Part# OMETCUHV - $1115.50
(Retail Price - $1457)
Includes:
2 - OME 881* Front Coil Springs
2 - 90004 Front Nitrocharger Sport Shock Absorber
2 - OME Dakar CS 046R A/B Rear Leaf Springs
2 - N85 Rear Nitrocharger Shock Absorber
2 - SB88 Poly Spring Bushing Kits
1 - OMEGS12 Greasable Rear Shackle Kit
2 - OME95PF5 Front Trim Spacer 5mm
4 - OME U-bolts
1 - FK21 Exhaust Bracket

Call Kurt at Cruiser Outfitters. He is well versed in OME and has good prices to boot.

Measuring from the ground to the bottom of the crimped seam of the rocker panel (centered under the driver's door handle) is 21.25 inches. I am not sure how much is due to the tires. Wheeler's Offroad, from which I purchased the kit, indicates the 881's provide an average of 1.75 to 2 inches of lift.

In my research I found that most of the complete kits were similar with similar pricing. I happened to decide to purchase from WO because I liked that they offer to assemble the shocks/springs. Not sure if Kurt offers that, but it was important to me for ease of installation.
