Another LR in the works!

I had to share my joy. I am picking up a 94 Discovery on Sunday!

The plan is a slow-ish build with a mild lift, maybe wolfs or just larger tires on the same wheels, bumper/winch and maybe a roof rack w/lights. It's not a 5sp but it's an early 94 with the 3.9 (actually that's out of a D90), manual seats and an epoxy headliner to cure the sag problem. Mechanically and structurally she's very strong, the back windows need attention and the P/S front-I might just do all four and get it over with.

No worries. Ive found two grey market, manual trans RRCs Im negotiating with right now. One will make it my way.

Nope, theyre not. They are 3.5's. Dont want a diesel really.

Definitely Storz! Actually Carolina Rover Owners Club (CROC) is having a trail work weekend of the 20-21st at Uwarhee and I'm sure some trail riding will be happening as well!

Hope yo can make it Jonathan- I'm hoping to do the last run as well but I might be traveling before Christmas so I'll have to see. We need to find somewhere further east as well.

I actually went out there with the CROC crew back in Jan of 09 with my first disco. Had a riot. I don't think the ol stock DII is up for the trails out there though lol. Helping some friends move that weekend anyways. Have fun!

Too bad you'll be busy, you' would be able to do many of the trails in a stock DII-you might have to use the turn out option at some of the hazards but it would still be fun. At the Old North State URE7 weekend I ran all over the mountain in my stock IIa. I didn't try Daniel or Kodak and skipped a rock garden to avoid the body damage but it was a blast.

Good luck on the Disco, it should clean up nicely, the OBDI trucks are pretty nice but can cause some head scratching from time to time..
