FWIW, all of our FD's ambulances are Lifeline rigs. The box construction and overall strength is incredible. They are good units and I would venture to say on par with Road Rescue.

Yeah I had this one on the radar when the one in Colorado came up. I ended up getting this one without laying eyes on it so finger crossed.:Wow1:

Hopefully the HOA will not give me the hassles with this one. But I will get the color scheme changed ASAP just to try and keep it under the radar. Hmmm maybe a stucco vinyl wrap as camo.

Bevan,

Is that what the "top" is going to be attached to?

Also, I'd suggest a very thorough cleaning of the interior space with good rubber gloves, and a strong bleach solution. I know how our medics and EMTs treat them locally, which is good, but you can never be to careful with blood borne pathogens.

Yeah mate. This is what I am looking at putting the top on. Hopefully with the nose overhanging so we can have an extra single bed. But at least the poptop so we get full head height without having to resort to a cap on top.

Can't tell from the pics, one the left side are those plexiglass cabinet doors? I'm picturing small shelves or bins behind them....not sure. The ambu looks very well made and HD....I really like it.

Is all the junk in the back coming with it?

What are you going to do with that jump seat?

The junk is not coming with it (I hope :) ). It was being used as a mobile office for a promotions company.

The plans for the jump seat are to see how comfortable it is in the child mode for our 4 year old grand-daughter. If it is OK for long distance it will be put on a swivel base on a track so it can move as far as possible between the front seat. Then when camped move back and swivel around to be another seat in the back.

If it is not comfortable enough I will either fit it into my E350 club wagon so we always have a child's seat in it or sell it off.
