Antique Land Cruiser on the road since 2003

The interior in the Landy is beautiful! If I may, I would like to use just this idea with my color scheme and having a double-width bed platform off to the side with a removable middle panel instead. What I would do on the other side, I don't know... But I do want to use wood for the interior of my Scout and paint it.

It's would be a cruiser, not a Landy, but who cares. Sure go ahead and create you own version. We used very light and strong poplar wood.

Hi Coen! Nice to meet you here too!

What a great renovation you're doing on the Cruising Cruiser! :)
Wow, it's getting really nice. I hope you two are doing well.

It's betting better than before

BTW
I stopped the whole idea of the overlanders forum, I have to many ideas but every new idea costs extra time... Sorry about that.
Besides, I think this forum has enough potential for a nice overlanders forum for vehicles :)

Good luck with the whole process!

Hi Jurgen, how is the Mercedes doing? Still going strong I guess. Keep on rolling I say!

great to see the inside coming together. where is the refrigerator located what size, is there an inside sink and are you set up to do your cooking inside when necessary?

thanks again for sharing your build. i am at the stage of designing the inside of my build to be as practical as possible. i know most of my activities will be out side but i think i need to be able to cook inside when necessary. thank you again:coffeedrink:

A sink we don't have [to much space wasted is my opinion] but a very small 30 year old Engel fridge still works great and our dual ring petrol Colman stove is used 90% of the time outside. It gets really steamy when used inside, great when it is freezing outside!

Here I have glued some aluminum strips on the roof as wel as on the panel.

This is the waterproof connection between the panels and the charger.

Getting stainless steel allen bolts in the locking hubs in order to get them less quickly stolen.

thinking of producing a 2011-the rebuild-calendar. Any interests our thoughts?

Adventurous greetings,

Coen,

You got my attention. Three times last week, I threatened to fly down to LaPaz, buy a used Toyota and do the Grand Willy-Nilly South American Tour myself.... and I'm a long time Jeep owner.

Your calendar might do well if marketed on a Toyota specific site? I've certainly enjoyed following your build, but am certain those who bleed Toyota when you cut them have understood and enjoyed your report more than me...ditto with a calendar.

I will get back to you on the calendar thing, but for now:

Karin-Marijke seals Sikaflex on the side where we have glued a small strip so we can attach our side table more easily.

The nice Hella lights we got from Bastiaan are getting a honorable spot.

Very nice lights they are.

They will certainly give a bunch of light when we need them.

Graeme's filter is getting fixed on the end of the breather lines of the axles.

This is how our little side table looks like after I cut it in half.

Well I think I mentioned what awesome lights those are and think you could not have put them in a better place. Looking forward to seeing more pics w/ them later on. I have read the entire thread now and I am always excited to see that you have added something new! Thank you for sharing your adventure.:coffeedrink:
By the way, I also admire that you refer to your partner by name rather then 'wife', 'spouse', 'GF', etc. To me it means that you two are a tight team!:wings:

We are ready to adorn the car with some vinyl.

Lei Hendrix send me some beige vinyl. That color was not to be had in Bolivia. So my good friend did his best to get me my color. Thanks Lei.

Transfer paper is more expensive than 'Rayban' sticker [the stuff they use to darken the glas of cars] so they use this instead of transfer paper.

This is how the top looks like.

First the dark outlines.

Then the beige lettering on top. Getting it into the seam is not easy and to make things a little more difficult, we have glued in a aluminium strip.
