Any Fly Fishing / Overland Addicts

Very cool rig and sounds like an awesome adventure! Im guilty of both fly fishing and overlanding enthusiasm here as well. We used to have a Sportsmobile but we have downsized to a Ranger. I fish a lot of urban fisheries (Los Angeles) since my opportunities to hit the road aren't as frequent so its a lot of chasing carp, bass and bluegills and when we get some time to load up the truck and let some air out of the tires its usually the eastern and southern sierras for trout. I recently started a little project selling some stickers, prints and other items I've designed. It was inspired by overlanding and fishing and thus named Parrquest some of yall might dig it, more overland / offroad designs are coming soon.

Here's my ranger on a recent trip up the 395..

I went to check out a 4x4 trail that leads to a alpine lake and some others in hiking distance that hold goldens but about 3.5 miles into a rough 5 mile 4x4 trail, i ran into some Jeeps that luckily shared with me that the trail was snowed in and the alpine lake i was planning to fish was not accessible.

Camped near some hot springs instead of the 10k elevation lake, good thing cause it was still cold enough for my dogs water bowl to freeze down at 6k elevation.

Hiked up to an endless supply of eager brookies.
